Paintings by the city of Tallahassee (in the style of Ad Reinhardt)
Ad Reinhardt sought to make meaning, part of that process was the canceling out of other meanings. By painting over areas of graffiti, the City of Tallahassee is also creating meaning in a similar way, though i’m not convinced their brush strokes are as refined as Reinhardt’s.
